For dinner tonight I decided to cook up some burgers on the grill.(It was a warm 85 degrees today at the Bank of Kev compound in Ventura County) So I went to Ralphs and bought some cheap generic charcoal.
Remember how we have been told that "generic brands are just as good as name brands"? Well I'm here to tell you that in the case of Ralphs generic charcoal that is not the case! To be really honest it sucks donkey!
First you have to put a ton of lighter fluid on the charcoal, then it takes forever to ash over, even then the heat the charcoal generates is pretty weak.It takes you longer for your burgers to cook and its more of a hassle. If you want my advice: Stick with Kingsford and cook with those guys.
